New Acquisition on Exhibit - Mikaela Shiffrin’s 2023 World Cup Globe
"It is so awesome that Mikaela gifted the globe to the Snowsports museum," Mason said after the display case was closed up. "The back story of how it broke is so fun! As our hometown hero, it is so incredible that we have these precious artifacts of Mikaela's in the museum."
As with most of our artifacts, there’s quite a background story to this one!

Congratulations to the Hall of Fame Class of 2023!
The Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame is pleased to announce that applications are now open for nominations to the Class of 2024.
Who do YOU think should be inducted into the Hall of Fame? It's that time of year again to submit applications.
Since 1977, the Hall of Fame has been recognizing people who have made an impact on snow sports in Colorado and we rely on nominations from the public to help us grow our long-standing institution.

Colorado Snowsports Museum is Proud to Welcome a New Donation: An Atomic Ski Representing Mikaela Shiffrin’s Recent Record-Breaking History
After Mikaela Shiffrin’s “Mikaela87” event in Vail, Eileen Shiffrin, Mikaela’s mother, donated one of the Atomic skis presented to Mikaela at the event to the Colorado Snowsports Museum (CSM). At the event, snow sports athletes presented Mikaela with Atomic skis created for the event – symbolizing each record Mikaela broke in 2023. When each ski was passed on to Mikaela the record she broke was acknowledged. The ski that we received was given to Mikaela by Oksana Masters, representing the “Most Alpine Ski World Cup Wins by Any Skier in History (88).” Read more about this donation and Mikaela’s 87 event HERE.
