Anderl Molterer

 
 

Anderl became the Austrian National Champion eleven times between 1952 and 1960. At the 1956 Olympics, he won the bronze and silver medal in downhill and giant slalom respectively. In 1960, he moved to Aspen and started work as ski racing director for the Aspen Skiing Company. He became the ski company’s ambassador skiing with VIPs from across the world. In 1970, he opened Molterer Sports in Aspen and ran it for 17 years.
