Bill Mahoney
Born in Colorado, Bill moved to Telluride at age four. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he returned home and pushed his vision of having a ski area in Telluride. He recruited experts like Peter Seibert and world-renowned ski coach Emile Allais, who gave the ski area good grades. In 1972, Telluride Ski Resort founder Joseph Zoline named Bill the Mountain Manager and together they thoughtfully planned and sustained the development of Telluride.
