Cindy Nelson

 
 

Cindy started her fourteen-year tenure with the U.S. Ski Team when she was only fifteen years old. During her career, she competed at three Olympics and four World Championships. She was the first U.S. racer to win a World Cup downhill event and won the bronze medal in downhill at the 1976 Olympics. After retiring from racing, she moved to Vail where she was named Director of Skiing for Vail and Beaver Creek Resorts.
