Dick Eflin
Dick, an architect from Kansas, helped develop the Crested Butte Mountain Resort. In 1960, with the help of longtime friend Fred Rice, he purchased an 880-acre ranch in Crested Butte that served as the base area for the resort. He remained active in the local community helping to revive the mining town. For 25 years, he served as President of the Mt. Crested Butte Water & Sanitation District and was on the Town Council.
