Earl Eaton
Earl, a Colorado native, grew up skiing at a young age. After serving in the US Army, he spent ten years in Aspen building ski lifts, constructing trails, and ski patrolling. In 1957, he teamed up with Peter Seibert and together climbed Vail Mountain. With Pete’s help, the Vail Skiing Resort was developed. Eaton’s Plaza in Vail is named to celebrate his contribution to one of the top ski areas in the world.
