Frank Penney

 
 

Frank grew up near Grand Lake, Colorado. Throughout the 1940s, he jumped in Class A events and was a 1949 Rocky Mountain Division combined winner. In 1965, he began coaching at Winter Park and continued to preside over the ski jumping program for more than 35 years. During his long career, he coached 13 National, FIS, and Olympic team members. His enthusiasm and positive teaching methods helped to mold the character of countless youngsters.
