Olav Pedersen

Olav came to the United States from Norway in 1964. His final destination was Breckenridge where his friends Trygve Berge and Sigurd Rockne persuaded him to teach in their ski school. In 1975, he founded Ski for Light, a volunteer program designed to help teach skiing to adults who are visually or mobility impaired. The program has spread from a small local project to a nationwide program that has enriched thousands of lives.
