Kendall Gretsch - Annual Award - Adaptive Spirit Athlete 2020
One of the most important annual celebrations of the state’s snow sports industry, the Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame induction, is on tap for THIS Sunday - August 22 at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater. Leading up to the 2021 Hall of Fame Celebration, the CSM is highlighting inductees and annual award recipients. Tickets for the event are on sale HERE.
Kendall, who was born with spina bifida, made her Paralympic debut as a winter-sport athlete, at the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games.
Kendall is a two-time Paralympic gold medalist in Nordic skiing (6k biathlon, 12k cross-country) and is also a heavily decorated biathlon and paratriathlon athlete.
The biggest satisfaction she gets out of competing in sports is seeing her own personal growth and having the ability to push herself as hard as she can to get better. She is inspired the most by her fellow teammates because she takes motivation from seeing them work hard in practice every day.
In 2014, Gretsch was named the USA Triathlon Female Paratriathlete of the Year, and in 2015, she was nominated for an ESPY for Best Female Athlete with a Disability.
