Tobias Kogler - Annual Award - Collegiate Skier of the Year 2020

One of the most important annual celebrations of the state’s snow sports industry, the Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame induction, is on tap for Sunday, August 22 at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater. Denver senior Tobias Kogler saved his best for last this past season, claiming the runner-up spot in the NCAA Championships Giant Slalom before posting a win in the U.S. National Championships GS in Aspen. His NCAA performance earned him his third First Team All-America selection for the Pioneers. 

Prior to Nationals, Tobias was named All-RMISA Men’s Alpine First Team. He finished 22nd in first men’s slalom race at the RMISA Invitational at Westminster & Soldier Hollow before winning the first race of the men’s giant slaloms at the RMISA Invitational at Utah.

He locked up his second win of the year by claiming the second race of the giant slalom at the RMISA Invitational at Utah, while picking up his third victory of the year by winning the giant slalom at the RMISA Championships. His GS victories at Nationals and the U.S. Champions were the fourth and fifth wins on the season for Tobias.

Tobias Kogler won the giant slalom and finished fourth in the slalom at the DU Invitational in 2020. He posted the fastest second run in the giant slalom at the DU Invitational, earned fifth in the giant slalom, and eighth in the slalom at the Colorado Invitational. He had the fastest first run in the giant slalom at the CU Invite, finished fourth in the giant slalom, and ninth in the slalom at the Utah Invite. Tobias also earned second in the giant slalom and won the slalom at the RMISA Championships. He was named RMISA Skier of the Week on March 5 for his performance at NCAA Regional/RMISA Championships.
