Barbara Kidder Lee
Barbara became the Southern Rocky Mountain Ski Association champion in 1941. She soon became known as the “darling of the Rockies” because of her attractiveness and her spunky attitude while competing. In 1946, she won the first Andre Roch Trophy Race in Aspen. In April of that year, she placed second in the Alta Cup in the combined. She was named the outstanding woman skier in the United States that year.
