Johnny Spillane

 
 

Johnny is a four-time Olympian from Steamboat Springs who competed in Nordic combined. In 2003, he won the gold medal at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in the 7.5 km sprint event. At his fourth Winter Olympic Games in 2010, he competed in three events and won three silver medals. He became the first ever American to medal in the Nordic combined. Spillane announced his retirement from Nordic Combined in April, 2013.
