Norton Billings
Nort, a Colorado native, was a member of the Rocky Mountain National Park Ski Club in Estes Park, Colorado. He won the club’s “Elkhorn Trophy” by finishing first in annual competitions in 1924, 1925, and 1926. In 1932, he was named a member of the United States Olympic team. Due to poor snow conditions at Lake Placid, he splintered the tip of his ski and had to retire from the 50 km race.
