Ralph Walton

In 1970, Ralph purchased the bankrupt Crested Butte Ski Area. With his leadership, the struggling mining town was transformed. The resort installed 15 new lifts, grew the ski and snowboard terrain to over 1,100 acres and 3,000 vertical feet, and invested over $100 million in ski area improvements. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Colorado Ski Country USA for 18 years and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the NSAA.
