Robert Oden, M.D.

 
 

Dr. Oden moved to Aspen in 1957 where he established the first orthopedic practice and later two new hospitals in the community. In 1968, he initiated the U.S. Ski Team Doctors’ Pool and recruited orthopedic surgeons to travel with the U.S. Ski Team. He was medical advisor to the U.S. Olympic Committee in 1960, 1968, 1972, 1976, and 1980. In 1985, he received the Julius Blegen Award, the highest honor of the USSA.
