“This Season Should be Better than Last Season” – An Evening with Joel Gratz
Join us at the Colorado Snowsports Museum for a 26/27 Winter kick-off party with Joel Gratz, founder and Chief Meteorologist of OpenSnow.
Hear from the expert about the forecast for this winter, learn about new weather forecasting technologies and how they will (hopefully) allow us to have more confidence in the snow forecast, and get answers to your questions about mountain weather in Colorado and across the globe.
Joel has BS in Meteorology from Penn State and an MBA with a focus on entrepreneurship and a Master of Science in Meteorology from CU Boulder. Moving to Colorado sparked Joel’s excitement in forecasting snowfall. In his words, “If a report is off by a few degrees on temperature, nobody really cares, but if it’s off by five inches on a powder day, people really start to care. That’s a big deal for a powder skier.”
OpenSnow is the go-to app for researching weather and localized snow conditions in snow sports areas, providing written daily weather and snow analysis from regional meteorologists across the world. Locals, ski travelers, and powder-chasers alike use OpenSnow for the inside scoop on precipitation, snowfall, and the most up-to-date, custom snow reports and storm tracking.
