Chris Klug

Class of 2011, Athlete
After being diagnosed with a rare liver disease, Chris received a liver transplant in July of 2000. He went on to compete at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City where he won the bronze medal in the Parallel Giant Slalom. He is the first and only transplant recipient to compete at a summer or winter Olympics. In 2003, he founded the Chris Klug Foundation spreading awareness and promoting organ and tissue donation.
