Crosby Perry Smith

Crosby Perry-Smith got into competitive skiing as a youngster and won the National Jumping Championship when he was only 14 years old. He served in the 10th Mountain Division during World War II and returned to civilian life at Western State College in Gunnison, where he organized the college ski team and continued winning collegiate, regional and national events. Crosby remained involved in sports after his competitive years, coaching junior jumpers at the Winter Park Jump School for 16 years.
