Robert Lange

In 1956, Bob invented the first injection molded plastic ski boot that replaced the uncomfortable leather boot. Over the next decade, he designed and patented numerous breakthroughs in ski boot design. By the 1968 Olympics in Grenoble, 72% of the competitors wore Lange boots. Among his other endeavors, he was the assistant coach of the Canadian Women’s National and Olympic Downhill Ski Teams and head coach of the Australian National and Olympic Ski Teams.
