Ron Allred

Class of 2010, Sport Builder
In 1978, following the financial collapse of Telluride, Ron started an effort to create a new economy in Telluride based on becoming a year round mountain resort community. He headed a company that built a new ski mountain and Mountain Village, as well as a new golf course and airport. Thanks to Ron, Telluride now has 14 ski lifts, 1,600 acres of runs, and is one of the top ten ski resorts in North America.
