Bob served on the National Board of Disabled Sports USA (DSUSA) from 1992 – 2018 (as Board President from 2005–2017), along with serving on the USOPC Affiliate Organizations Council as the Chairperson from 2016 until 2024. Recognized for his work to expand snow sport opportunities for people with disabilities, he was inducted into the DSUSA National Snow Sports Hall of Fame in 2009 and was the recipient of the DSUSA Dr. Bob Harney National Leadership award in 2016. Bob was on the Team that started the Adaptive Spirit Fundraiser in Vail, which secures crucial funding for the USA Para-Snowsports Teams.
